Now beginner skiers and riders can experience the thrill of the upper mountain high-alpine. After exiting the Elk Camp Gondola, beginner skiers & riders will have a dedicated quad chair and two new surface lifts. Introduced last season, the new Elk Camp Gondola makes quick work of the distance from the new base village to Elk Camp Meadows in less than ten minutes. Combined with the Village Express six-pack and Sky Cab gondola, the lift network at Snowmass promises to whisk you up the mountain almost as fast as you can come down! Other on-mountain upgrades for 2007-2008 include a new and improved Snow Park Technologies terrain park and halfpipe area, while future projects such as the new Sam's Knob restaurant are just a season away.

Renovations over past three years total nearly $65 million

In 2007, Snowmass lodging properties spent a massive $33.7 million on renovations ranging from exterior remodels to interior common space upgrades, while since 2005 nearly $65 million has been spent by lodges to ensure that visitors are relaxed and comfortable, whether they choose to stay in a condominium or hotel, in the lap of luxury or in economical lodging right on the slopes.

Snowmass offers over twenty-nine different lodging options, ranging from budget choices to full service hotels to luxury condominiums, townhouses and homes for rent. In Snowmass, budgetary constraints never mean guests are pushed further from the slopes. Ninety-five percent of lodging is ski-in/ski out. Ease and convenience are the buzz words in Snowmass, whether visitors want to walk to dinner or avoid having to lug their gear to the slopes. This year in the 2007/08 winter season we're excited to see the opening of the new Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center. In November, this state of the art 25,000 square foot facility is scheduled for it's grand opening. Designed for kids of all ages and open year-round, the unique design shares the wonder of the mountain environment in fun and educational ways. The Treehouse includes six interactive, nature themed rooms designed for specific ages. Scale the Aspen Leaf Climber in the alpine climbing room, explore the Bear Den with your pre-schoolers, or spend some down time with your infants and toddlers in the Butterfly room. The Treehouse is conveniently located in the new base village and offers Ski & Snowboard School check-in, rental, retail and family apres ski entertainment.

Changes Have Begun... The long-awaited Snowmass construction has started. Over the next few years, Snowmass will not only see the addition of a vibrant NEW BASE VILLAGE, but also a series of ON-MOUNTAIN IMPROVEMENTS and new places for gatherings and celebrations.

The new Snowmass Resort is being developed by Related WestPac, a joint venture partnership between Related Companies, a fully integrated private real estate development company, and WestPac Investments Colorado LLC, a diversified Real Estate Investment and development company. In March of 2007, Related WestPac began re-development in Snowmass Village of an 80-acre master planned development befitting a world class mountain resort that respects the community's ideology. Snowmass Resort will be cohesively developed and Snowmass’ status as a year-round destination will be greatly enhanced with first-class services, luxury residential, hotel, entertainment venues, dining and shopping amenities. ...
