Snowshoeing

Snowmass in Winter: The cold air chilling your lungs, spruce forests blanketed with snow, frozen streams...

If you enjoy snowshoeing, don't miss out during your next visit to Snowmass Village. If you don't own snowshoes (and can't get your friend to lend you theirs), you can rent them at the Ute Mountaineer, in Aspen - (970) 925-2145.

A fascinating alternative to the choose-your-own snowshoe adventure is to go with a guide (highly recommended):

Since 1992, the Snowmass Resort Association has sponsored ACES' programs at Snowmass including the Snowmass Naturalist Walks, the Snowmass Mountain Walks and the Summer Wild Things at Snowmass. The financial assistance provided by the SRA allows for these activities to be offered free to the public.
