Mother of all Ascensions
The Mother of All Ascensions uphill snowshoe race returns to kick off Mardi Gras Tuesday, February 16th at the crack of dawn. This popular costumed race climbs 1,741 vertical feet from Fanny Hill to Gwyn’s High Alpine in less than two miles. Racers can participate in snowshoes, track skis, hiking boots or running shoes. Costumes are highly encouraged.
All registrants receive a stuffed Goodie Bag and the chance to win some heavenly prizes from participating sponsors and local merchants. Over $15,000 worth of merchandise and gift certificates will be given away. Prizes are also awarded to age category winners and for best costumes, so don't forget to dress up.
T-shirts are available and may be purchased for $15. In order to receive an event T-shirt you must pre-register at Christy Sports in Snowmass Village before Monday February 8th.
BONUS: The first 50 people to pre-register at Christy Sports in Snowmass Village receive a pair of Thorlo socks! So sign up early!
