NASTAR
Public NASTAR courses in Aspen/Snowmass are available seven days a week!
Nastar (National Standard Race), developed in 1968, is the largest public recreational grassroots ski racing program in the world.
NASTAR provides a fun, competitive and easily accessible recreational ski racing program that, through the development of a handicap system, allows skiers of all ages and abilities to compare themselves against their friends, family members and the U.S. Ski Team regardless of when and where they race. Snowmass NASTAR is located on Cabin trail (to the skier’s left of Coney Glade lift). The course is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. RACE RESULTS
PRICES:
SEASON NASTAR PASS (for adults or kids): $129 - race all season on all three mountains!
Adults: $7 for 2 runs; $10 for the entire day.
Children: (12 and under): $5 for 2 runs; $10 for the entire day.
7-DAY NASTAR PASS (for adults or kids): $39 - unlimited NASTAR use for a week on all three NASTAR courses – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands.

Group/Private NASTAR Races
$150 Course set-up fee
Adults: $9 for two runs
Children: (12 and under): $7 for two runs
A $275 deposit is required for private courses.
Times: 10 a.m., noon or 1:30 p.m.
There is a 25-person minimum for private races.
The Race Department will take racers’ best times against the pacesetter's time and handicap to determine medals according to age groups. For private race scheduling, please call Group Services at 970-925-1220.
Race Registration
Groups desiring private NASTAR events are strongly encouraged to schedule race registration through Group Services. This service is COMPLIMENTARY. If your group is having an opening reception or party, the Race Department can send a representative to discuss race formats and organize pre-race paperwork. This eliminates congestion on race day. SPECIAL GROUP RACING PROGRAMS
Try your hand at skiing, tele-marking, or boarding with the locals during our Aspen Times Town Race Series. Races take place at Aspen Highlands on Saturdays, for the more and advanced skier, and Sundays for the miore recreational skier, boarder or tele-marker.
Alternative Race Formats:
Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super-G and FIS standard races are available upon request. Courses can be tailored to match your group's skill and competition levels. Alternative race formats are available upon request only. Pricing will vary accordingly. Please call Group Services

Fun Races:
Non-competitive team races can be set up for your group by the Snowmass Race Department. These obstacle-course relay races are run on beginner terrain and include non-skiing sections such as inner tubes and tray races. Cost: $150 for groups under 50 people and $250 for groups over 50 people. $150 deposit required. Please call Group Services at 970-923-0469 for more information.
Treasure Hunts:
This is a great way for a group to tour the mountain. Rhymed clues will take teams to seven different check points on the mountain where they will find a word or group of words. These words will be put together to form a sentence which leads them to the treasure. Treasure to be determined by the group.
