Mother Of All Ascensions
The Mother of All Ascensions Uphill Race celebrates its 16th anniversary in 2008. Kicking off the Fat Tuesday celebrations at the crack of dawn, this unique costumed race traverses 1,741 feet uphill to Gwyn's High Alpine Restaurant, where an awards ceremony and $15,000 in prizes will be given out in such categories as best time, worst time, and best costume. So dust off your snowshoes, cross country skins, or boots, get out that wackiest costume, and start off your Mardi Gras with an invigorating, unique mountain Mardi Gras celebration.

Pre-registration closes on Saturday evening at all locations except Christy Sports in Snowmass Village.
Race starts at 7:00 am SHARP on Fanny Hill at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall.
Registration Fee: $35 Race Day Registration: $40
First 50 people to pre-register at Christy Sports in Snowmass Village receive a Shred Alert hat valued at $20!
Event check-in and race day registration starts at 5:30 am Fat Tuesday, February 5th at the lift ticket office at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall.
